Our winemaker and his daughter, Tara, traveled to St. Emilion in the right bank of Bordeaux, France in the Spring of 2008, prior to Fletcher Bay Winery’s first harvest in the fall. Their goal on this trip was to taste and find the perfect St. Emilion style blend to release as the first red wine blend for the winery. Tara was 13 years old at the time, had already taken two years of French and was the pair’s translator. She is now fluent in French and loves to drink Bordeaux wines. Celebrating 10 years of the original Tara Rouge release and the anniversary of Fletcher Bay Winery, this blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc is a wine that is not afraid to speak its mind, similar to Tara.
Live music at the winery from 4-7pm with Fennel Creek Band, beef bourguignon and specials on Tara Rouge. Grab a bottle for $37 (normally $45) and glass pours for $12. Wine club discounts apply.
