Artist Showcase

This month we are featuring artist Melody Maleitzke in our Winslow tasting room! Welcome to the whimsical world of Washi tape art. Melody Maleitzke, a mixed media artist, discovered Washi tape as a medium by happenstance and described it as “the medium I have been waiting for all my life!” From that moment forward, she began creating art using the delicate, patterned paper tape as her main medium. Melody’s current body of work is inspired by her love of nature and call to preservation and conservation of forests, wetlands, native plants and the wildlife that rely on these for life. Her artwork invites you to look deeper into the art, as a fleeting glance isn’t enough to see what’s really there. Learn more about Melody here.
